Miss Markee BINGO!

We’ll be releasing our Word Time with Miss Markee show on YouTube one episode a day - all month long!! (a national tv show about learning words and sounds)

Don’t know how to edit? Don’t have the computer or software to do it? It’s FREE to use our editing stations and schedule hands on learning. Click here for more information on our free services.

Some of these films were submitted to the Fresh Cut Film Fest - Springfield’s FIRST Film Festival! Learn more here. We had 80 youth participants in the first youth portion, and 92 community votes as well as standing room only for the established filmmaker portion. It was incredible to see young filmmakers’ reactions in the movie theater to seeing their work on the big screen.

SAPA TV holds a workshop every summer during River Valley Technical Center’s (RVTC) Tech Camp - training middle schoolers on equipment, green screens, and editing to create their own short films on a time crunch.

This year we partnered with Okemo Valley TV to make sure each student got as much out of the experience as possible. All of our goals aligned: sparking an interest in content creation in the younger generations while giving them continued access to learn how to achieve their media goals.

Senior Solutions, (the Area Agency on Aging for Southeastern Vermont) and SAPA TV with funding from the Vermont Arts Council, proudly sponsor the Intergenerational Lap Quilt Project.

Students from Riverside Middle School (RMS) in Springfield will spend the next two and a half months making quilted lap blankets for older Vermonters. This project is the brainchild of Marlboro resident Linda Fuhrman, a former NASA engineer and avid quilter who originated the concept, donated much of the fabrics, and is the "artist" behind the designs.

Intergenerational Lap Quilt Project

SAPA is creating a documentary of this journey, and continues to create events to bridge the gap between generations when it comes to technology.
